Jerry B. Chariton is a partner of Chariton & Schwager. Listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, Mr. Chariton is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and serves as chairman of the ACTEC Tax Issues Relevant to Trusts and Estates Subcommittee and a member of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee and Charitable Planning Committee. He maintains an active general business practice with particular emphasis in the areas of estate and business law, taxation, and Orphans' Court litigation. Mr. Chariton is admitted to practice before:

- All Pennsylvania courts
- United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania
- Third Circuit Court of Appeals
- United States Tax Court
- Supreme Court of the United States

A past Assistant District Attorney of Luzerne County, Mr. Chariton has served as counsel to various non-profit institutions, including a nursing home, hospital, personal care facility, senior citizen housing projects, and a local redevelopment authority. Mr. Chariton has participated in numerous educational programs both in the United States and abroad for the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Mr. Chariton received his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

- Member of the American Bar Association Tax Section, General Litigation Section, and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, - Served as the chairman of the ABA Tax Section Committee on Small Firm Lawyers and the ABA Litigation Section Third Circuit Subcommittee of the Discovery Committee
